Hi Johnny

I live in the fabulous city of Cape Town, South Africa and apart from the Olympics which we got to watch live, all the other skating events are only televised a week or two later on ESPN International.
I still have to wait a week to watch The World Championships... but of course I couldn’t wait to read about how your performance went. I’m so sorry to hear you hurt your back and it affected your performance, but it seemed like your perseverance and fighting spirit shone through!

I just want you to know regardless of whether you fall on your cute derriere or place last in a competition, I enjoy watching your performances all the same because you are never anything less than riveting when you skate. Your grace and beauty always overshadow any obstacles you may face during a performance. You are such an inspiration on and off the ice and I just adore you !

I have been really sick over the past year with cancer, which thankfully I am in recovery from and can look fabulous again :) While I was not feeling my best, one of the things that I really looked forward to was watching you skate. You just represented beauty, elegance & glamour, during a time when I was feeling and surrounded by anything but! After my recovery on one of my subsequent shopping sprees I found the most gorgeous Russian style faux fur hat & matching bag which I had to purchase. I have named them Nanoushka Camille and Mischa Vanya & whenever I wear them I think a happy thought and think of you!
