Dear Johnny,

No words can express how proud I am of you for everything you achieved at Worlds despite your back problems. I know you had to struggle all season with various issues; you've gone through so much, and I just admire your strength. I am still so impressed by your willpower. Johnny, you are a true fighter.

You know, the day you skated your free program at Worlds actually was a night over here. When the competition was over, it was still a little dark outside, but the sky already looked absolutely gorgeous, and the birds started singing their songs. I immediately had to smile, and I realized that everything is going to be alright. Dark clouds don't stay forever.

Being the person you are, you will get over this season and all the trouble.
Just remember that you've proven that – even under the worst circumstances – you are one of the world's best skaters, and an enormous wave of love and support will always come your way from every corner of the world, Johnny!
You've given us so much with your beautiful skating and your incredible personality, and it's in fact so much that I don't know how we could ever be able to return it to you.
